there may be value to be found in O&G assets even if this was the top of the cycle (I would say it’s not quite, yet) due to the current way of the woke world leading to previously sensible folks offloading perceived fossil fuel fortune makers for peanuts in the deluded belief it will make them feel good. eg ORG discovered a 1TCF 3C conventional wet gas field in The Canning Basin with JV partners BRU, then gave it back to them for free, in fact paid them $4m for the privilege of watching them go it alone on imminent 3D Seismic so they would know exactly how much upside they had just dumped, just to appease some activist shareholders, (then for a laugh, they got taken over by some even more woke folks.)
