I don’t know whether your comment was meant with cynicism or not, so I don’t know exactly how to answer. I guess you only have to look at a comparison between WLE and WMI and their recent results.
WMI should continue to outperform in the current market cycle, whereas WLE (along with being poorly managed) will have effectively “run out of steam” ! So you are correct, and as interest rates drop, you will see far more takeover offers by large companies for the smaller ones (hence why WMI will in theory anyway, outperform) !
