Peter, I couldn’t agree more. Have put one of the clowns talking up WAM on ignore. Even compared to an ETF like VAS, WAM that is supposed to be “managed” is pathetic. If you think that WAM is performing poorly because they are in the smaller end of the market, bring up a simple line chart of WLE (that’s Wilson Leaders….). You know, the ones that are making all the gains. It by comparison is probably even worse than WAM. Geoff has spent a lot of time talking his book and the LIC investment process (ie buying 1$ of assets for 80cents). But the performance of the Wilson funds is going down the drain ! At the moment it’s costing us $1 to get 80 cents if we are lucky ! And that’s probably because we are paying for it out our dividend !
