I put $50K into Lazard listed infrastructure fund
a couple of months back, it now trades as a
an ETF (GIFL), as well as a traditional managed
fund.
I had been looking for an investment in
infrastructure for sometime but , like the REIT
sector, I have been paranoid about asset
managers over paying for assets in recent years.

After listening to Warryn Robertson being
interviewed on Livewire markets, he is one
of the portfolio managers, I have full confidence
in their investment thesis and portfolio
management. They are an active manager and
for me it’s an alternative to pure equities.
Might not be your cup of tea but Warryn’s
interviews make interesting listening for anyone
who is interested in an insight into an active
manager who uses a strict discounted cash flow
model to value assets.
