Very cloudy for yesterday's Sentinel satellite pass. Not dissimilar to other aspects of the market....
I didn't expect to be able to see much but there appears to have been some site prep, if not some drilling, visible.
Blue open circles possible activity in last 5 days.
Yellow circles for sentinel image that is basis of the above.
Source timelapse.
Not an easy or necessarily reliable data set to interpret.
The locations do make some sense.
Probable completion of the 11 sites prepared and being drilled out over the last couple of weeks.
Somewhat surprising to add another 4 or 5 sites a couple of hundred meters to the south.
Apart from hole 44 there are assays, in this area, at or above 1% Nbx so these sites likely represent marginal testing on top of earlier 2024 interp activity.
Also come close to a phoscorite zone shown in the MRE.
Selected assays from reported holes in this zone.

Other areas in Luni with equal or better assays so why was this area first cab of the rank for more detail?
My best guess is that the supergene blanket here is generally shallower than elsewhere.
As part of research into what is the distribution of Nbx in fresh rock I sorted my 2023 Luni Assays by depth >=120m and containing 1%+ Nb assays. Preliminary results are in this post.
FWIW this is the plot of those selected holes on the Whale.
Diamond and RC holes mixed so not like for like with DD potentially drilling much deeper.
The white outline made me check out the passive seismic data.
There is some correlation to depth. What the significance is needs more careful study. Suspect the depth to mineralisation may be more consistently deeper hence focus, initially, on NE. DYOR to cover the proverbial. Interesting, to me, if nothing else. Something WA1 would be on top of (if interested) with a full data set.
