Let me guess - you weren't complaining about bots when they were ramping up the share price to ridiculous heights a couple of years ago. Bots only bother you when the share price is falling from the sky. Bots are used by the big players to increase or reduce positions. If AustralianSuper wanted to buy or sell a big position, they can't just put a big sell or buy in the market in one go. They get a bot to spread the sale out.
