The explanation was given in the June 7th Production Update, where they implemented a programme in the wet plant to increase the quality of HMC with higher VHM. The obvious way to improve HMC quality and VHM % iss to cut harder with the spirals and lower recovery imo... so, less tonnes of HMC but worth more per tonne, as we saw in the Qtrly... outcome = 13% fall in HMC vs 21% lift in HMC price.
