I have no issue (actually I would love) if RAC gets to a MC that would normally warrant inclusion in the ASX200, I just don't think that companies like RAC should be included in the indexes.
If you want to prevent us being lowballed in a takeover keeping RAC out of the ASX200 would be the best way of avoiding this. Once the company is mostly owned by the index funds (and index hugging funds) then they will sell out without a second thought.
