It matters as they still have to follow ASX listing rules.
The sale is also not 100% guaranteed to go through. Deal may fall through, or someone might even come in with a slightly higher offer.
Noticed someone bought $5k at 19c this morning... that must have been an accident... If the deal does go through that person will lose money thanks to brokerage.
