You should care about the other stuff. I have spent the last few months accumulating shares in companies that have exposure to both base metals and gold/silver.
Base metals are going to do very well over the medium term and will act as an attractive backup for AMI, when gold has its off days. Coppers recent price rise is indicative of what I am talking about.
