Design flaws - the Professional Indemnity insurer for the designed should be ‘on the hook’ for the bad design. The thing is to prove the design did not meet the specification requirements. All mechanical engineers with specialist knowledge and skill in gas processing would be require by contract to have the PI insurance to evidence that insurance to the other parties to the contract, in this case most likely APA.
