Compulsory acquisition
Under a takeover bid, a bidder may proceed to compulsorily acquire any hold out shareholders at the bid price once it has obtained a relevant interest in 90% of the target securities. This is provided that the bidder has acquired at least 75% of the securities it offered to acquire under the bid.
