I think the 30% firgure is relating to anyones share capital for this particular offer.
IE, if you take up the opffer, abide by - as the company will - the rule of no entity being allowed to have an increase, through this offer, of more than 30% of their current existing share capital.
If i own 300,000 shares, then i cannot request and i will not be allowed, any more than a 30% increase of your 300,000 shares.
The protection factors here are for smaller shareholders and so noone gets the chance to take advantage of this process to become manipulate their level of holding for voting purposes. So even if Talbot get in first, he is not the very best dressed - anymore than you and i by way of the percentage allowed to be taken up.
So if you want 100,000 more shares under this process, you had better have about 300,000 to begin with, taking your total to 4ook.
