@ Carbo64 - From my understanding, the BOTS are employed by their owners (brokers, institutions, investment houses etc) to actively either push the share price down or up.
These "owners" do not pay brokerage per transaction (their fees are based on the total volume of trades at the end of the day I think), therefore they can buy or sell anything from 1 share per trade.
With the carnage over the past few weeks, there is BOTS being deployed everywhere - and this appears to be amplifying the losses in some of the shares that I have been following.
This should enable their owners to "back up the truck" once they have driven the share price down far enough.
