It's quite a good sign IMO that he agreed to work for a company as small as Kaddy when he has worked with such big players.

What are his options if Kaddy fails hard as far as his resume and career? Just omit it and hope no one notices the gap? Explain the failure? If it's going down it's going to be for money reasons.. so it'll be on him.

He's putting his own reputation on the line. And it's hard to believe the man is going to be attracted by a big dollar salary and not actually take a look at the financial position of the business.
