The reduction in fees would also be due to the competitive threat of eBev. They have all the big brands on board, however, they were not charging any fees in order to encourage take up & build critical mass.
eBev recently introduced fees of 2-3% of GMV. The eBev platform is a wholesale option alongside Kaddy on some supplier sites. As a supplier you would steer the buyers to use the platform with lower fees. So Kaddy realized that 5% incl. fast payment fee versus 2-3% fee was not going to work. At 1.25% fee without fast payment it's now very competitively priced for big players.
The following companies are on eBev so would expect similar on Kaddy soon. The better platform will win & one will disappear or they will become one.
