Any company in a massive growth phase needs to borrow money, if they happen to be unlucky and get hit by a once in a hundred years financial crisis then they would usually die, OZl with more than $1b in the bank almost died.

KZl also survived but were almost wrecked, i think they did well to still be in Business with all their assets still intact. unlike Ozl which sold the family silver to stay in business.
