Good find, Jw. This article is an important one for Emerge, which has launched its marketing drive in SA at exactly the right time, it seems. I particularly like it because from the 12/15 week trial run, in a jurisdiction where e-gaming is popular and on the increase, we will get a clear indication of whether we have been wasting our time and money, or do we have a product with a future? Bear in mind that our initial offering is really a very basic prototype, I imagine, compared with what is being planned for NickX and GameCloud.
IMO, if they can’t make it here, they can’t make it anywhere (to turn around the famous line) but, seriously, this is crunch time, ‘our’ first launch into an apparently receptive market backed by substantial advertising.
It would be nice if we had a lot more detail about it and it wasn’t hidden behind an opaque curtain, and if there had actually been three country launches in December, etc. etc. I could go on for several paragraphs about what would have been nice . . . couldn’t we all . . . but here we are with a toe in the water, so let’s see how they go, fingers crossed.
