This is a good thread - Thanks guys! And this has to be one of the neatest pit-portal-underground designs I've seen.
I'm a bit confused over the 'Turn-key funding,development and processing' arrangement which is in place. The acquisition of Lakewood has obviously necessitated changes, but it they were anned I missed them. The statement 'Commencement of mining will be determined based on operational requirements' -- must refer to UG mining, because clearly the pit is being mined, by the 'Turn-key Funding' partner.
Any comment to throw light on these issues would help. Thanks!
Also I have often wondered how they stope up against the bottom of a pit ! Somewhere I have a book on mining, but would rather have a comment here from a bloke who has done it. Thanks again !
