NST is trucking from 50 to 100km from open pits at a current grade of .8gt (it fell from 1.3gt) by rd train to Carasue dam, they produced a great result as they blend that oxide with their fresh UG ore.
The grade is king mantra doesn't hold water anymore, not when 50% of the worlds gold comes from Heap leach now. Heap leach projects (if your lucky to have right mets), on average have a grade of .6 gt (that's right not 1.6 but .6gt). They produce often at a low opex of 1,000 an ounce!
Also check the grade of the like of OBM (relatively high), but crappy sticky clays. Or laverton areas old A1 minerals deposits such as Brightstar (now rebranded BTR), they've never made money off the 4gt terrible ore bodies.
I'm not saying HRZ or BC8 will or won't do well, it depends on a lot of factors imo.
