    Alistir I share your concerns. I believe if you see oil prices over say $US60/barrel, you will see far more attention on the issue of the nuclear power industry in Australia (and so a nuclear power plant in NSW within 5 years). But I guess on the positive, unlike with natural gas, we are not letting cheap energy flow to offshore markets with the restrictive U mining environment here in Australia. So the asset that is uranium is appreciating lieing in the ground. In fact it really is a positive unless of course overseas interests are investing where I wish more Australians would. There is serious superannuation security in uranium.

    The article that spawned this trail of posts is far from correct too. THE THREE MINES POLICY WAS SCRAPPED IN 1996 when the coalition came into power!!!! See link below:
