As with many companies management and directors like to ensure they have a well paid long lasting job that will take them through to retirement. So while they may be very competent at their job it is not their priority to get results as fast as possible but more to ensure that it remains in their control and provides for their security even if it may mean having capital raisings to pay their salaries and extra time to execute procedures the way they want.
