There is knowing how to do something with a huge sense of the unknown. I'm not sure the number of would be competitors is very high. These guys do have the experience and connections now IMO, and have impressed Crusoe obviously.
I've known quite a few people who have thought they would become property developers, due to previous work. Nearly everybody they deal with can see their lack of experience immediately, even at the land acquisition stage.
Valuations do not surprise me. I reckon they are worth about $430 CAD per MW if a DA and PPA can be written, on top of land value and cap ex.
