Beaches,I don't know what world you live in ,but you clearly have no understanding of what is involved in putting together a shovel ready project like Saddle Hills.A BFS for a major resource project takes a minimum of two years and costs plus $20 million.Then there is detailed design and engineering negotiation with equipment providers and warranties, all of which have been completed.
Yes it has taken years and had it not been for the huge change in the legislative framework in Canada over the last year, it would probably be financed and under construction now .
As was explained today, management is waiting to find out :
1.What will be the life of the project without the installation of carbon ,capture and sequestration?
2.What investment incentives will be forthcoming
3 Will the project be exempt from the carbon tax.
These unknowns are expected to be addressed in the new legislation which is expected to be introduced in the next few weeks.
Without the answers you are unable to produce a realistic financial model to provide to both potential partners and funders.

Saddle Hills project.It speaks volumes for the management team that , realising they have a jump on others ,they deploy the development team to identifying sites for 200 MW plus combined cycle plants. This is the only way to replace the base load gap which will be created by the forced closures of coal fired generation.As jeff Myers said today,wind ,batteries and solar will not do it!
As pointed out on page 6, the team has been involved with the building of 9000 MW.
That is one and half times the size of the Latrobe Valley and the solution being adopted in Canada is the only realistic solution for Australia.
It is frustrating that the first project has still to receive funding and the go ahead.
