African countries generally want/demand to be free carried to 16% of the project plus royalties. Tanzania being a prime example.
Notable is the Tanzanian chairman of LIN who should be well aware of how his country treats/deals with overseas exploration/mine development companies. Malawi could possibly have similar mining/development rules. It's about 4 years since Peak Resources applied for SML to mine Ngualla in Tanzania and that application hasn't been finalised yet.
A hell of a lot of work and time before LIN gets to the stage of applying for a mining license.
