"Workmanlike" ... I totally agree with that. There are plenty of fantastic workmen out there who wouldn't make a good CEO. I am not attacking Alvyn's character, he seemed like a good honest man to me, but I'm not sure whether he has the sharpness required to be a CEO. It's why a CEO gets paid a lot better than a workman.
It also appears he has missed his own first deadline.
