Lepidolite is not economical to extract from at present.
Though I believe this is the focus of LPD maybe? To try and create a cost effective way of using Lepidolite.
There are other economical hard rock Li sources but they are very limited in geographic scope. Jadarite is unique to Serbia for example and Rio are only just developing the metallurgical means to process it AFAIK.
