Personally I think the purchasing power of the money they received is far more important that the AUD equiv. Only about 4 people refused the payment which is a good sign and it is only an advanced payment and has generated a wealth of goodwill which is a big positive.

I hope the final negotiations between the affected people and all other parties go well and everyone ends up feeling they got the right deal. I am not going to guess what that should be as these are sensitive negotiations and i dont want to prejudice them by making an uneducated guess.
