I think it's reasonable for the company to test all possible economic outcomes across their portfolio, which includes rare earths opportunity. Hot commodity and many other explorers doing the same, sooner or later enough results will be in that the market will know what projects will help supply RE into future demand growth and what ideas were dead ends. Investor's job is to test the plausibility, potential and risks of opportunities as they are, not as they are promoted. Companies will shout loud and early what great potential new projects have, where failures mumbled in unlucky disappointment well after failure has been priced into the stock...

Graphite and even the kaolin stand alone might be winners for ITM, I'm only following the RE market in places to see if a clear winner emerges.
