As I was saying, the CFO, if any good, should have known of the blowout long before it was trickled/leaked out by the Newspaper article. At the same time, the MD would have been aware of it as well, and yet they both decided, at shareholder's expense of course, to keep it quite from the market. That is a no no, and I am perplexed as to why no one looked into that for possible litigations. It could very well be the reason of their departures.
I am sure that the market reaction to GBG today was probably been helped by this announcement.
I wasn't aware of any of this during the day, hence why I put my order in via my fund manager, but I feel happier now that I did. Only time will tell.
Had I read the announcement before I left, I would have bought the shares myself (put the online order in), and possibly at a lower price as well.
