a) no view particularly but shale oil isn't going away and the saudis won't let their market share go. Irrespective of that, I doubt given the complexities of kangaroo that it's going to be anywhere other than in the most expensive decile of costs to bring to production and produce.
b) well that isn't the same as saying that they did, there's no evidence for that. Even in the case that they did, who cares? A right of first refusal gives you the option to pay what someone else is willing to pay. So you've just put an upper bound on the value of the stake. However, given a) it's pretty obvious that no one wants it. Apart from KAR.
