Hi All, MOO! The bizarre suggestion that a detrimental sand slippage in an open cut could be advantageous and actually increase TRY's resource is absurd. There have been some ridiculous statements written on the Hot Copper threads but that one just about takes the cake. In this difficult sand covered rain forest exploration environment there are no obvious pathfinders. The most efficient exploration technique would probably be to follow the pork-knockers leads. I suspect that is precisely how Azimuth cottoned on to Kauroni in the first place. Fortunately for TRY the pork-knockers were restricted in what they could achieve without modern machinery so there is still some hope although TRY probably needs the planets to align in their favour. Refer to BDR's history to see how a much larger player can also run into problems with the weather, etc. Best of luck to all, whatever your faith!
