Wow.
There was literally a clearly bad announcement. Bad in that in the short and likely medium term it was completely obviously going to drop the share price. Anyone with any sense of what was going on or any experience in the stock market could clearly see it was going to drop in price on the news. What it does in the long term in response to that announcement is a more complex question and is one we can't yet answer with certainty, but anyone who feels they are ready to buy anything on the stock market or take part in stock market discussions in any capacity beyond 'Hi, I'm a newbie and would like to ask a question...' should have understood that the market was going to react badly to that announcement.
People commenting on this reality are for the most part just commenting on tangible reality rather than 'downramping'. If you were saying that the market wasn't going to react negatively you didn't know what you were doing, and we can now see you were wrong.
We've now dropped about 20% in two sessions. It might have bottomed, but you're silly if you call me a downramper when I say I expect it to test to 12.5c low from the 24th of February, or when I say I think there's a greater than 50% chance we'll see it fail.
I didn't want this to happen, I was buying around 14-15c and recently topped up at 16 and 16.5c and was expecting an increase until the DFS until the delay announcement, but as much as I didn't like it, I could read the writing on the wall on Monday morning. I'm not really seeing anyone here 'downramping', just being realistic. The share price hasn't dropped around 20% because of 'downramping', it is because the DFS was delayed. If 12.5c fails and we test previous levels (I'm seeing 9.5c unless 10c holds just because it's a round figure), and if 9.5c fails we could see a really ugly picture) it won't have anything to do with what people post on Hot Copper.
If you're a long term holder and had this in the bottom drawer with no intention of touching it until QPM was selling product, sure, it barely matters, but I think we all know deep down that the main reason people post that is that they're trying to gaslight (themselves even more than others), and they do actually dislike seeing the price drop in response to a second delay of multiple months. and given the choice would much, much have preferred the DFS to be released before the end of the month. The main benefit I see as someone interested in the company is the opportunity to buy more cheaply in a couple of months or so (no, I'm not at all sure of that being the timing of the bottom, don't quote me on that). As an existing shareholder I'm not entirely heartbroken but I would much prefer to have not yet bought any shares (to those who bought in for 5-10c or less, hey, well done to you and it might still have been the best thing you could have done).
So much of what people post on Hot Copper is gaslighting and spin, and often, the most honest and accurate posts are the ones most accused of being 'ramping' or 'downramping' or posted with 'an agenda'. Someone without an agenda who wanted to comment on this announcement would clearly have said they expected the price to drop in response to it.
