Suspecting this was a nugget, I panned through the company's announcements in further detail. If you go to the announcement on 22/12/15, Page 2 Note 1, the company themselves state that the high Au intersection 'is likely due to a nugget effect'. Furthermore, it would be very unusual to find gold in that concentration in one Hole (AKDD181) and drill a follow up hold adjacent to this (AKDD182) with no gold at all which is what raised my suspicions further. In saying this however, it is still possible that assays will demonstrate low gold concentrations (if at all). This is why I was somewhat underwhelmed by yesterday's announcement.
In regards to the company not spruiking, the announcements which have been made recently seem to focus on the 1064 g/t intersection as the headline along with other historical results (and people seem to be missing the fact this was likely a nugget). In addition to this, the announcement made on 30/03/16 'Kempfield Drill Plan Strategy Begins To Deliver Results' was IMHO somewhat unnecessary and nothing more than a re-hash of previous results. They had barely finished the holes before they stated it was 'Delivering Results'. I had a few people contact me asking if I'd seen the 'new results', and in reading this it was merely a regurgitation. It's not spruiking per se, rather well 'wordsmithed' for the average investor.
In short, I think ARD does have some potential to deliver an economic mine and could have a good deposit on it's hands, but I'd recommend that investors read the fine print and notes on the announcements. One should never focus on the best results only....as a few sporadic high grade results is not representative of the broader project.
