This is the debate about using outside consultants and paying a constant retainer and premium to be in compliance and keep products compliant or bring it in house . Good external specialist consultants can actually save you $ as they see the same issues and have depth fo experience at fingertips shared amongst man of their clients as they have scale in various industries. . Experience tells me that outside consulting is expensive but the full package if you can get the right consultants and tem along with good communication and access when you need it. .

When you bring it back in house you have a whole basket of issues in a supposed growth company as the person you hire will probably have come from an environment of larger company with dep support at every level and depth of experience with that support especially legals etc. Many will just outsouyrce to consultants anyway in thsi day and age so you need to be very wary or budget and just what you are getting.

We don't know NUH strategy but history shows they are always far too optomistic and have poor timing IMO so bringing in house may be possibly too early and a little company again trying to look like a big company and having all the typical C suite roles filled.

What I am not 100% clear on is the current structure and just how much use of externals they have been using or if they have been muddling along themselves over the past years and now realise that is unsustainable or have has specific failures and need a internal specific role filled afer a many month recruitment search/ restructure?.
