I think we’ll find once this is fully commercialised each different vertical (as they call it) will have it’s own bespoke Plant, but still using the same fundamental reaction chamber, chlorine etc.

For example the semi-batch is suited to the very high value Gallium, Germanium & Indium for Indium corp.

Rare Earths might need a multi pass type system, where the 1st flash takes out certain impurities, the 2nd and subsequent flashes for maybe up to 8 different REE’s.

The Red Mud application would probably be more to do with getting rid of some of the impurities such as the iron.

The E-Waste would be different again.

It does seem though the 1st Demo Unit will be semi-batch which is how the present prototype is configured. Once they have the bugs ironed out of the present Prototype they’ll either make (or convert the present prototype) a continuous prototype.

They have also said:

“We are also increasing our capacity for testing with a new FJH test model being installed at KnightHawk Engineering’s facility”

So that might be the Rev2 or FJH 2000 ??

They’ve also left the door open to building a 2nd demo unit should they get another MoU and/or DARPA funding.

There is also funding from Australia, the Aust Govt has invested heavily into Northern Minerals building a multi billion dollar processing facility for HREE’s, our testing has already shown good results extracting terbium and dysprosium the 2 HREE’s Northern are targeting.
