It's not the shell with the antimony, but the bullets/spent bullets themselves.
A reference from "Quora" from someone who owns a shooting range:
"The backstop is shredded rubber over a steel plate. Every 100,000 rounds per lane or so the lead is mined. A company we contract with pulls the rubber and debris from the backstop onto the floor. The truck is equipped with a giant vacuum cleaner and sucks up the rubber and debris.
That is then filtered to remove everything but the rubber. The discharge hose is aimed at the backstop to refill it with cleaned rubber.
The lead is to heavy to be picked up by the vacuum and is left on the floor. This is the shoveled into 5 gallon buckets which are used to fill 2 heavy duty bags holding about 2 tons of lead each".
He then goes on to show 10 tons of spent lead bullets on floor before collection. The antimony would be wasted in the scrap, as the lead is the only thing they can recycle.
