I would share your concern if Alcoa were reducing funding/capacity/conditons of the final production plant .
However I am not so concerned about reduction of cost/size of the demo plant. A smaller demo plant should be faster to complete/test as well as cheaper and implies to me some level of confidence that it should be successful, to enable focus/speed on production plant.

also , if Alcoa was planning to renig in this deal , they would not be doing that by reducing the scope of the Demo plant , they would be just be pulling out all together.

The concern I do have is the level of communication and specific timelines going forward. This latest announcement was not clear on timing for mine.
