I just want to say a big thank you to "key opinion leaders" on this website. I don't think I could be picking up stock so cheaply without you.
Some of you boys really do enjoy talking down incessantly the stock you own. Now just to be really clear I think Graham is a bit of a chump, but I am a trader at heart and will buy a barrel of moldy apples if I think its cheap enough to sell cider in the future for profit. The classic showing of how low sentiment is on HC, is the 5 likes you got above @zecs for incorrectly stating "Yeah, they claim that placebo-controlled experiments are unethical". No they didn't say that at all. And your response is, heavens above, to another holder had to publicly use AI to understand trial ethics and completely, as you do, missed the purpose of the statement - if only AI could teach you boys context and to read.
It was clearly a commentary on the general trial DFI backdrop, and here is the clue in the title of the slide "Current Therapy for Treating DFIs and ABSSSIs" (my embolden)
They in fact never said it was unethical, but in fact stated "No placebo-controlled studies as international regulators deem it unethical to withhold
appropriate treatment of patient infections." So they actually said "international regulators deem it unethical". Which is certainly to a degree true, and your misquote entirely inaccurate of course.
Why misquote the company in effort to discredit it? Indeed as a shareholder, one can only wonder?
The most hilarious thing is one of you criticises them for not having a placebo-control in their recent trial, and one of you criticises their plans to have their next trial placebo-controlled. Do make up your minds fellas on what it is you agree on? You want placebo-controlled trials or you don't? I personally wouldn't expect a phase II mainly safety aimed trial to extend to a control group, as is common, but a phase III to indeed be controlled, as again is increasingly common - uncontrolled trials, unless involving kids or imminent death, generally considered insufficient by regulators, but amputated adult limbs apparently not.
There really is some utterly contradictory and untrue nonsense on these threads, aside from opinions on the company - and yes its clearly been a poorly managed company at times and for the umpteenth time, yes I would like to see at least composites on any wound infection improvement.
