My experience is that people (including myself ) when they step back from a small businesses become more productive with also less stress , and the business also ends up doing better with new ideas , in fact an ex business acquaintance and I were just talking about that this morning , he handed his business over to his two nieces , sales have gone up considerably due to the younger nieces using social media something called snapchat and of course facebook .
A mentoring roll though is a good idea for us oldies as long as we do not start trying to take control again and are open that some new ideas will naturally fail
