By the definition of growth it's always going to be difficult to reduce staff-based costs. The benefit you do get is that staff costs as a percentage of total revenue will typically reduce significantly. This is what is most important. The company stated this in their last newsletter:

They are not on a path of trying to reduce their SGA costs but control them. I think the reason for them stating that NC and Rezos will be on lower salaries was just to highlight that they are being paid commensurate to the role they play and the time they spend for the company, not that they're trying to reduce costs.
