Also Damian Chappell, an Australian guy, is on the Board of Commissioners for Indosat Ooredoo, appointed 24 May, 2018.

He is the CCO (Chief Consumer Officer) for Ooredoo Qatar, and has a history with Telstra in Australia. I believe the role of CCO is the equivalent of Chief Marketing Officer. It may have no bearing on progress, but the Australian connection is interesting.

As a technology practitioner, Mr. Chappell has long experience with two technology giants. He joined Ooredoo Qatar in 2008 as Assistant Director International & Roaming where he successfully formulated and executed various programs and marketing campaigns, including “Summer Roaming” Campaign in late 2000s which lasted for 6 years; Ramadan promotion “Life Is Great”; as well as several cellular packages for Ooredoo. In 2016, he was appointed as Chief Marketing Officer Ooredoo Qatar until today.

In 2005, he received ATUG Innovative Product of The Year with Telstra.

SAs a CMO of a telecommunication company, Mr. Chappell sees digital innovation and transformation as an opportunity for business to grow even further. Therefore, he continuously encourages new ideas and discoveries in the current digital and technology world.
