    Well I am not sure if Mr Phips has briefed US Ambassadors or not but if he has, then I am sure he would have told them that Sharia Law is based on the Islamic Religion and not the fundamentals of law that western societies use.

    Given this principle, I think the guiding book is the "Holy Quoran" rather than common law, contract law, law of tort etc & et al.

    I am not sure what the "Holy Quoran" says about non muslims and how they are treated in Sharia law but I'm sure all will find out soon.
