Fundamental problem for WAF is contractors unwilling to have boots on the ground in BF due to political risk.
WAF can put a spin on it but trying to DIY everything in country is not as easy as it sounds for a junior to aspiring mid tier with no real head office to back up site.
There's a reason most operations out source in West africa.
I am sure WAF had no realistic offers from contract miners on the table so this was hobson's choice.
Will not be long before no gold refinery will buy your Doré if you operate in an illegitimate regime.
