Battery grade is >99.95%. The other stock you mention needs to further process in order to compete with the like of KNL who just announced 99.99%, hence you may find they require chemical to achieve this. As for costs if we work on bfs costs plus $2-3000 processing/tonne for spherical then costs are $2500-3000/ton and sale price for $9000+ for coated = do the math... Although a processing plant in Tanz will change the math more in our favour.
