They haven't sold half the company, they've sold half of the rights to the specific Li resource, the development of which will then be funded initially by the buyer. This creates certainty for KDR. KDR's capital structure and principle ownership will remain the same for the time being (although plenty is changing hands today!)
Today's price movements will create plenty of resistance for the way back up.
