I think there's less chance of expropriation now. The government not wanting to step in the same dog doodoo twice. It got them lots of bad publicity (domestic politics, and international business/politics) and gave talking points for the opposition and votes of no confidence.

The government wanting to create troubles though...I'm uncertain whether it's stopper parmanently. Usually they'd want retribution for the embarrassment, or to get the asset into their mates hands, but it could be simpler now to just let KCN profit and pay royalties to the country/local economy.

And as for corruption (withholding leases), I think it'll be subdued for the moment (all government eyes on everybody else holding up the process), but I don't know for how long that'll last. A couple years? At the moment, it's not easy to demand a bribe and remain under the radar.
