The USD won't collapse just because other countries decide to trade in alternative currencies. USD will still have a place and the US still has the largest economy (for now). US stock market dwarfs all others and money flows there dwarf all others. Capital flows to perceived safety and risk / reward. I think it's good to have other options just to break US dominance / arrogance. It won't mean the end of the USD or hyperinflation though. That comes with break in confidence of government due to endless borrowing with no intention to pay back the debt. In that case, Europe and Japan will fall well before the US does.
