A few months ago I saw an already discounted $50 pair of New Balance shoes I liked on Kogan. They applied an unnecessary and unexpected discount in the shopping cart, bringing the price down to about $41. Then offered 14 days' free membership with free shipping. Nice. Shoes arrived maybe 3 days later. I proceeded to buy another pair for a rainy day. Same price (with discount) and Kogan First free shipping. Shoes arrived and were great.
On about Day 13 l ordered an ASICS pair which were $60 reduced to maybe $50 with free shipping. All up I remember I paid about $120-130 for 3 pairs of shoes. They were last year's/obsolete models -- which is common with Kogan in my experience. They must do something similar to The Reject Shop and buy discontinued models of running shoes in bulk from the manufacturer which is looking to clear their old range. The shoes I bought are great.
How Kogan made any money from these purchases I don't know.
