Processing Tailings is not always cheap and easy, it depends on the form the gold resides in, could be trapped in sulphides, or too fine to grind to. The yields stated are the historic production from the gold field. Possibly safe to assume that the historic mining recovered about 90% of the gold, thus less than 1g/t left in the tailings. Would need to be a fairly special treatment plant that could recover those grades and be economic.
